The Mossadegh Foundation |
|
The Mossadegh Foundation was established in Carouge in 2000. It takes its name from a major Iranian political personality, who made a mark on the life of his country for half-a-century. After studying in Iran, Dr. Mossadegh lived in Switzerland from 1906 to 1913, in which year he became a Doctor of Law at the University of Neuchâtel. The democratic and liberal dimension of this political leader should be realised; his life was devoted to promoting the national independence of Iran and in particular the use of the income from its oil resources for the flourishing of his country. The Mossadegh Foundation wishes to contribute to safeguarding the memory of the thought of this statesman. |

The Library of Iranology |
This Foundation which is subject to Swiss law has the objective of contributing to a better knowledge of the civilisation of Iran and its culture, by making available to those interested therein a significant library containing works by authors concerned with the different currents of thought of the country. The Mossadegh Foundation now possesses more than 4800 titles: books, historic Iranian documents, manuscripts by Dr. Mossadegh, photos, videos and recordings of speeches. |
